Clinically Media has launched Psychadelta, a community-driven initiative to connect patients, providers, and the public with trustworthy information about psychedelic research. By joining our group, you’ll receive updates on upcoming clinical trials enrolling and opportunities to participate.

Why Psychedelic Research Matters

In recent years, studies have shown that psychedelics like psilocybin (the active compound in “magic mushrooms”) and MDMA (sometimes known as Ecstasy or Molly) may have significant benefits for people looking for:

  • Depression treatment
  • Anxiety treatment
  • PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder) treatment
  • Substance use disorders, including alcohol and opioids, treatment
  • Trauma-related condition treatment
  • Obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) treatment
  • And other mental health treatment

While early results were promising, regulatory agencies required larger, randomized, multisite clinical trials to determine the safety and effectiveness of these treatments. Those studies are now producing the largest body of evidence to date — with major findings published in 2023–2024.

In fact, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA) has targeted August 2024 to decide on the first potential approval of MDMA-assisted therapy for PTSD, based on an application from Lykos Therapeutics.

This means psychedelic therapies may soon move from research settings to real-world treatment options — and we’re helping lead the way.
